David A. Smith began the practice in 1983, and cannot believe how much success Really Smile has had since then. “It seems like I started my dental practice just a few short years ago,” Smith said. “It is hard to believe that it has been almost 30 years. Dentistry was exciting to me when I first graduated from dental school, since I was able to use all of my recently learned skills to assist patients with their dental problems. While dentistry was exciting then, today’s dentistry is amazing! Today we have techniques and technologies that we could only dream of back in dental school.”
These technologies include better ceramic tooth restorations, advanced x-ray imaging and oral photography, more precise pre-procedure calming techniques and laser cavity diagnosis, according to Smith. Because of these improvements, Smith has remained very invested in his chosen field even after all these years. “As you can see, we at Really Smile have embraced technology, and find that it assists us in providing the best that modern dentistry has to offer,” Smith said. “No wonder, after almost thirty years, that I am still excited about dentistry!”
Really Smile has embraced new technology outside of the examination room, too. Its website has been refurbished to become more user-friendly and informative, Smith said.
